Our head coach is, Margaret Brunke.

Coach M moved from Seattle Washington in 2020, but grew up in the Bay Area, California. She is a long-time athlete participating in many sports, but swimming was her first love. She continues to swim on a Master’s team to this very day, in attempts to stay fit and keep up with her athletes😊

She has two grown children, both of which grew up swimming in summer swim league and loving the fun, community, and competition. Her son continued swimming year-round and eventually went on to compete at the Jr National level.

Over the last few decades, she has worn many hats in the swim world, both year-round and summer league. She has been a board member, team manager, meet director, swim parent, USA Meet Referee and an age group coach.

As a Coach and Mom, she has learned that having fun and working hard go hand in hand. Her experiences have led her to understand the mindset of the athlete and what it takes to do something day in and day out. Her focus as a coach is to not only help your swimmers improve their fitness and meet their competitive goals, but to pass on her knowledge and love of sport. If there is one concept she can teach her athletes is an understanding of doing something well takes time, commitment, dedication, and most of all a deep love and passion. She honestly believes values and life lessons learned through training and competition make for even more amazing and successful individuals. To her, that is the beauty of growing up with sport.
